John is available to teach workshops, classes and lectures on a wide variety of relationship, mental health and spiritual development topics. He regularly offers such programs in Austin and nationally and is an experienced public speaker. John has taught at venues such as as the Seton Cove Spirituality Center, The University of Texas at Austin, St. Edward’s University, St. Andrews Episcopal School, and the Hays County probation treatment program. He is comfortable teaching diverse audiences including college students and mental health professionals. John’s areas of specialty include topics related to:

  • Relationships and marital issues
  • Promoting healthy relationship through an understanding of neurobiology
  • Spiritual development, including mindfulness training and non-denominational contemplative practice
  • Couple therapy, theory and methods (for professionals)
  • The new science of relationship (attachment, arousal regulation, interpersonal neurobiology) (for professionals)
  • Many other related areas
