Announcement for all medical and support professionals working for Seton in Austin at this time: We would like to offer our full support helping you through an emotionally stressful time. We recommend that all front-line healthcare workers and support staff receive weekly teletherapy to process emotions and stress from your service dealing with the coronavirus pandemic and its related challenges. In stressful times, it’s always better to get ahead of the stress mentally, and develop a relationship with a counselor that can support you as you engage in the critical service our community will need at this time.
As a Seton employee, teletherapy is fully covered via your existing benefits the same as in-person therapy. Teletherapy is 100% digital–you meet with your counselor online–and you can engage in therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own home, car, or office. Therapy is very helpful to lower anxiety, manage stress, deal with difficult emotions, help with overwhelm, and address sleep problems. Therapy also helps you improve communication with loved ones and helps you to keep moving forward in life.
Depending on the deductible of your healthcare plan, you may only be responsible for a co-pay for teletherapy sessions. For high-deductible plans, you may need to cover the cost of the first few sessions, but then co-pays will cover the rest. We understand how much stress healthcare workers are under at this time. In Austin, we want to be a resource to help and support you as you care for our community. Please reach out! We are in-network with the Seton SmartHealth Employee Plan and will help verify your benefits, then pair you with a therapist well-matched for you.
To schedule an initial session with your therapist, just call or text our office at 512-469-0535 or email us at email@example.com. Healthcare workers are dealing with alot of stress and emotions at this time, not just in the workplace, but also at home. You are helping our community, and you deserve to be supported yourself.
We also offer group counseling, 100% remotely, for those who enjoy the social contact and sharing of a group format. Group is also covered by your healthcare plan, often with a very low co-pay. Group is a fun way to engage with others, discuss your experiences, and practice valuable relationship and communication skills at the same time. We may even be starting an online support group specifically for frontline health workers, so please let us know if you’re interested in that.
As approved in-network Seton providers for teletherapy, we are here to support you during this time. Please reach out by text, call or email and we’ll help you connect with your therapist and schedule your first appointment.
